Suggest treatment For Pain And Burning Sensation While Urinating
Hello Dr, I am 28 years, Male and newly married (3 month). I am having burning sensation while peeing, it happened to me next day after I drank 3 bottles of beer 3 days ago . And the pain is still the same. I slept without drinking water that night although it was very hot and next day while peeing it starts to burn. Is this some kind of serious problem? Please advice.
Hello and welcome to HCM. I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
The way you describe your symptoms it might be a lower urinary tract inflammation. Since you didn't describe any other symptoms, like abdominal pain, fever, changes in urine color and smell, it is probably an uncomplicated case of lower urinary tract infection.
I recommend to you to drink a lot of fluids and especially cranberry products and a short course of antibiotic treatment (sulfamethoxazole/Trimethoprim or ciprofloxacin).
I think that with the advises above you will be better, but in case your condition persist or is getting worse I recommend to do the following workup: urine analysis and urine culture.
I hope my answer was helpful. Best regards
